About Me
My first endeavor into pilates was as early as 8th grade, when I ordered my Winsor Pilates home DVD's. I didn't know then that ten years later I would step into a boutique pilates studio on a whim and have my first taste of the pilates reformer. For me, the reformer changed everything. Mat pilates is a challenge for even the experienced athlete, and I quickly found that the reformer (and a good instructor) has the innate ability to meet you where you are and help you find deep, intrinsic moves in a safe, accessible manner. I jumped into as many pilates group classes as I could get my hands on, but it wasn’t until I was faced with a c-section and diastasis recti recovery from my first pregnancy that I experienced the rehabilitative benefits that Pilates has to offer.
As a former healthcare professional, my postpartum recovery allowed (or forced me) to re-discover my appreciation for complete wellness—both physical wellness and the mind-body connection. I completed the Apprentice Program at Essence Pilates in 2023 and became nationally certified January 2024. I enjoy teaching beginning through advanced pilates clients and tailoring each session to their unique needs. My clients also give me the passion to continue my education. I am currently working toward the following certifications:
Pre and Postnatal Pilates Specialist™ through The Center for Women's Fitness
The Pilates Center of Boulder, CO's Bridge into the Advanced Teacher Training Program
